Keynote Speakers Announced!

The Conference Committee is delighted to bring to ALLA 2018 three keynote speakers who represent the conference theme of Local Footprint, Global Impact:

  • Ruth Bird, EIFL ‘elibrary Myanmar Project Capacity Building Manager’ and former Bodleian Law Librarian
  • Danial Kelly, Senior Lecturer in the Charles Darwin Univerisity (CDU) School of Law
  • Sue Tongue, Special Counsel in Minter Ellison’s Canberra office

Call for Abstracts Extended!

Call for abstracts has been extended till Friday 29th September 2017!!

Missed the deadline? Don’t worry, we’ve extended the deadline.

The conference is a fantastic opportunity that only comes around very two years to share your ideas and learnings with the profession so now the time to get writing!

The theme for the conference is Local Footprint, Global Impact. This is a very broad theme and to help narrow it down the conference committee have given a few hints for topics within this theme, specifically:

  • Indigenous issues
  • Career development
  • Technology
  • Education

Remember the papers and posters for the conference do not need to be limited to these topics but be sure to bring your abstract back to the wider theme of the conference.

Submissions are now open for the 2018 ALLA Conference!  

Centred around the theme of Global Impact/Local Footprint, the Conference Committee is looking for papers and posters, including but not limited to those that address the themes:

  • Indigenous issues
  • Career development
  • Technology
  • Education

Presentations

There will be a variety of presentation formats and lengths. The Conference Committee welcomes a variety of proposals including:

  • Individual presentations
  • Panel discussions (multiple, complementary speakers on a single topic)
  • Practical workshop sessions
  • Digital – posters (with an optional additional hard copy submission)
  • Lightning talks (5/10 minute sessions)

Abstracts should be submitted to convenor@alla.asn.au and submissions close 5.00pm AEST on Friday, 15 September 2017.
